Fingender or FIN is an umbrella term for all genders that are feminine in nature. It also refers to genders that are primarily feminine. It doesn’t automatically have to be related to womanhood but to femininity as a whole.

These genders are used by individuals who may not be able to narrow it down but know they are not a binary woman.

The term fingender can be used as a standalone term, referring to the gender not being fully defined by being feminine but relates in some way.

Mingender Counterpart Mingender is an umbrella term for all genders which are masculine in nature (MIN). Mingender relates to masculinity.
Fiaspec Similar Fiaspec is an umbrella term for anyone on the female/woman spectrum. Fingender is for genders that are in some way feminine, whereas fiaspec includes genders on the femaleness/womanhood spectrum (even if they are not feminine in any way).
Finsexual Counterpart Finsexual is the exclusive attraction to those who are feminine in nature (FIN), either in their gender and/or their presentation. Finsexual is the sexual counterpart to Fingender.
Feingender Similar Feingenders are female-in-nature (FEIN) genders. Feingender includes genders that are female in nature even if they are not feminine in nature.

History

On June 15th, 2017, Pastelmemer on DeviantArt coined fingender. The coinage was posted by Pride-Flags on DeviantArt.[1]

On December 3rd, 2018, mogaicore on Tumblr created a simplified version of the fingender flag.[2]

Then, on July 5th, 2022, Transfeminine on the Fandom Wiki created a simplified version of the fingender flag.[3]
