Weird image bug I've found

Hi, I think I found a bug for uploading images on the wiki.I've noticed that when I try to mass upload images (I mean like trying to add like 10 for a bunch of subterms) it only uploads the first three I put in and just ignores the rest? Is this supposed to happen, and if so, how am I supposed to upload more than three? Thanks! -User:ChoccoGlxtch 16:46 18 January 2026

Hi! Might need more information, you should be able to upload more! What happens when you upload and such? What do you see. In our logs right now I can see you’ve uploaded 6 flags. Will let them through until you see this but would like to know what happens your side. It shouldn’t happen, you should be able to upload more than three, it does something disappear once it’s going through moderation. There is an issue currently I think, where it’s saying images haven’t been uploaded. So if this is what you’re talking about let me know!

Thought I would take the chance also to say a big thank you for trying to do pages and uploads, it’s really appreciated! --MagicalManager (talk) 06:27, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Peccumconfused?

Hello!(Sorry if my text looks weird still getting used to the source editing here) I coined a term recently called Peccumconfused, which isn't necessarily a gender, orientation, etc. but kind of an umbrella term for a bunch of terms beginning with Peccum- that aren't substantial enough that I think they should have individual pages. Peccumconfused is basically when you feel connected to a label (e.g female) or a type of label (e.g feminine) but something about using that term feels wrong. Is stuff like this allowed on the Wiki or should I seperate the subterms (Such as Peccumgender and Peccumsexual) into seperate pages? Thanks!—User:ChoccoGlxtch XX:XX 2 January 2026

Hello! Apologises for the delay, as long as they’re in the same page that is fine!

As long as they’re resourced well (please use the citation template if possible, thank you!)

As you say, it’s a umbrella term, which is fine, I would make sure there’s not terms similar, if there are, make a similar terms table with their relationship, description and why they are different from your term.

You can have the page be the term’s name and then all sub terms on the page, don’t worry if it gets too long that table!

And don’t worry if you think it’s not allowed or not, you can always look at the rules and the To Do list as they both tell you what you shouldn’t make a page on. What you’ve got is completely fine.

Also wanted to take a little bit of time to say thank you for putting some terms up on the wiki! Really appreciate it.

If you can, I would love if we can see some other orientations for that previous orientation you wrote about - sorry the term’s name is escaping me!

Would highly recommend taking a look at how other pages are laid out on the wiki to make sure the content is even better! - in terms of gallery as well, you don’t need to put the terms original flag in them, they are manly there for alternate flags and/or alternate flags of sub-terms.

Again will say the fact you thought they should be on the same page is great, as generally anytime there is an orientation / gender / prefix and suffix should all be on the same page unless otherwise.

Thank you, sorry for the delay getting back to you!--MagicalManager (talk) 06:37, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

Transamorous

hihi!! i dont know if this is how you use a talk page lmao (i'm fairly new to this wiki) so i dont know what you meant by image template unless you're talking about the thing to put an image in the page inside of the orientations template, i had made a strict sleep schedule for myself and went to bed at the time i had written the last thing for the page, i will reupload the flag with the source linked i myself wanted to make this page as i am gay and transamorous (specifically liking trans women, my girlfriend is a transwoman and i am very lucky!) i will redo the flag upload, and when i finally get it uploaded properly (i'm fairly dumb so it may take a few tries to get it up whilst actually knowing what im doing) i will (try to) do everything properly and link the sources to everything on the page

Hey, thank you for your question! So on your image upload you can add a template which and if you type image like how you typed orientation, that template will come. In that template you can add the source, the hex codes, creator name, colors. If you don’t know the colors or hex codes you can just leave them blank as long as you have a source. There is a category called (if I remember correctly) “Needing Credits and Color”, you can add that to the flag’s page itself and then you can add the flag to its page once it’s approved, for the page, could you add at least some history, can work on the format for you, would suggest looking at some other pages so you know how generally they look, you do great but you just added the orientation template, I’m happy to let that go through if you’re still looking to carry that page on.—MagicalManager (talk) 06:14, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

simple question, how do i put images i uploaded onto my user page? -AshtonTheCanadianFox (talk) 12:42, 26 October 2025 Atlantic Standard Time (UTC -4)

Hey, great question! You can do File: , and then add what it’s called. So you might do File;EXAMPLE NAME HERE (instead of the semi colon, it would be the : )if you are able to use it in the visual you can do insert > image and media, and your upload should be there. This is the same for pages also. You can also when you use templates that have the image section, you can put the name in the search bar and it’ll appear, lemme know if this doesn’t make sense etc. —-MagicalManager (talk) 15:55, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

yeah, and sorry if i take a bit to respond, my number keys currently dont work so its hard to get the numbers down on the first try and its also hard to get an exclamation point! gyaaah! anyways, thanks! i'm sorry if i ask too many questions, i'm just more used to google docs editing style of this stuff! -AshtonTheCanadianFox (talk) 13:42, 26 October 2025 Atlantic Standard Time (UTC -4)

All good! Don’t you worry, it’s all good to ask questions, it’s how we prevent mistakes. —MagicalManager (talk) 17:07, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

just wanted to say i was trying to edit the transamorous flag to add all the things but you got to it before me lol, sorry.-AshtonTheCanadianFox (talk) 14:30, 26 October 2025 Atlantic Standard Time (UTC -4)

Nah you’re good, you put the image template in the wrong place so I just moved it. —MagicalManager (talk) 17:46, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

Harmful terms?

Hi there! I recently signed up as a contributor, and I wanted to get your permission to make a page on the harmful "LGBTQIA+" terminology/flags! Thanks! —User:AndrewdaSillyTherian, 01:28, 28 January 2026 (EST)

Hi, as long as the page is sourced (and researched well) correctly and is within guidelines and rules, then we will look, the rules page has some info about harmful terminology. It is also worth noting our neutrality guidelines as well. We will keep a close eye, and we will let you know of anything we might be doing. Cheers!--MagicalManager (talk) 19:51, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Great! Thanks! I just wanted to get permission first before doing anything because the rules didn't say anything about not making harmful terms description! :) User:AndrewdaSillyTherian, 08:58, 29 January 2026 (EST)

Just as another note, you don’t have to write “this is a work in progress” or “will be written once approved” same with the trigger warnings, there’s the Draft template and the Contentious template. We will take a look at what you’ve done so far. Just some other notes, apologise if this sounds condescending as it is not supposed to be!

  • You don’t need to address the reader,
  • Avoid usage of “terrible” and words of that ilk, whilst its may be true the wiki is still supposed to be neutral,
  • Avoid usage of the word “people” and “person”,
  • Whilst I haven’t looked yet, avoid copy and pasting when you can,
  • Images need the image template, there is a guide should you need it, if you want me to let the flags through so then you can add the template you should put that in the summary,
  • Avoid putting “flag” in image name.

The signature all you have to do is two dashes (-) and four squiggly dashes (~), there’s is also a signature icon as well which you can tap and it’ll be there automatically.--MagicalManager (talk) 17:13, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

And also, I will be renaming the page to be “Harmful Terminology” when I put it through but if you want to edit prior to me looking you can still see your page -> Harmful pride "flags"--MagicalManager (talk) 17:16, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

Ohh, thanks for the info! It's my first time so I don't really understand the controls just yet! ^_^ AndrewdaSillyTherian (talk) 10:24, 30 January 2026 (EST)

It also then means you can talk about both terms and flags! Just a note can you make the article sound less like a blog post, just it sounds more so like a blog post rather than a wiki page, but hopefully you and us (other users) can help with that! --MagicalManager (talk) 15:32, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

That sounds great! Thank you! Also, I may sometimes forget simple things like not adding "flag" to new uploads, so sorry for any further inconvenience! :) AndrewdaSillyTherian (talk) 08:47, 2 February 2026 (EST)

It is totally okay, you’re trying, you’re learning, that’s all you can hope for! I was a similar situation when I first started editing, you will always do that, you can’t be perfect straight away, and also you have started editing on the wiki that is supposed to be stricter and better quality rather than the miraheze wiki, so you’ve thrown yourself in to the deep end which I have to say, I truly admire! --MagicalManager (talk) 14:02, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for being so patient with me, I really appreciate it since I can be a pain sometimes! Also, the main reason why I created this page is to remake it from the Miraheze version; so I do have a tab open from it, but I plan on making the descriptions longer (if I remember that is xd) in the future! :) AndrewdaSillyTherian (talk) 09:08, 2 February 2026 (EST)

You’re so welcome love! (I can change that descriptor if you don’t like - I have this thing to call peeps that) It’s not a problem honestly! Yeah that’s fair, as long as you do research and resource them, that’s all that matters, also would say consider putting them into tables to categories them, maybe do some of the more well-known terminologies and having some examples of lesser known, that way the page isn’t endlessly long! You’re doing great. And it’s great you already have plans for the page, that’s amazing. --MagicalManager (talk) 14:15, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Haha, I don't mind the descriptor! I may also be inconsistent with my edits because i'm juggling many things at once (editing the wiki, content creation, & school), and it can get pretty stressful. So I wouldn't mind if you (or anybody else) edited the page as well on the weekend for me, of course it's optional and you don't have to if unwanted! I'm most offline on the weekends than anything :) AndrewdaSillyTherian (talk) 09:21, 2 February 2026 (EST)

That’s fair! I may well edit but as I say in my user page I am a full time student and also editing hasn’t been a priority (due to assignments and also trying to hide that I am edited a queer wiki so it gets difficult to edit), but I’m back to being a student so I will be inconsistent as well, which is why I am glad there people coming onto the wiki to edit, it’s what is needed. And also that’s totally okay, as long as you’re able to edit we do appreciate it. I will say, if you ever want advice you know where to find me lol!

I am going to be balancing a lot as well, so you don’t have to worry about feeling bad about it and what not.

This was my second try writing this message so this is a weird amalgamation of what I had originally said hah! --MagicalManager (talk) 14:35, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
