History
Paragender was originally coined by user queerspike on Tumblr on or before July 10th, 2014. The earliest known reblog of paragender's coining post was made on this date by Tumblr user genderdefinitions.[1]

Flags
The paragender flag was created by pridearchive on Tumblr on July 24th, 2014. The gray stripes represent partial gender, the white stripes represent a lack of gender, and the yellow stripe represents non-binaryness. The green stripes are used to represent the closeness of the gender because green is near yellow on the color wheel, it was called in its original post however Paranonbinary and it is unknown if they intended to have it be the general flag as it mentions non-binaryness.[6]
