Kymenian (also known as genderstill or genderstatic) refers to a polygender individual whose genders do not change to other genders, but said genders may still fluctuate in intensity.[1]

History
The terms genderstill and genderstatic were coined through an anonymous user via Tumblr blog Bigendering on or before the 30th of November, 2016.[1]
The term kymenian was coined in a WordPress blog called twilightvelvet on the 28th of May, 2018. The prefix kymeni- derives from the Greek word κύμα, meaning wave.[2] The term was also mentioned by Tumblr account what-the-heck-gender-am-i, in a polygender term masterlist.[3]
Flags and Symbols
The original flag was created by an unknown user, published by Tumblr blog Beyond MOGAI Pride Flags on the 4th of June, 2018.[4]
Another alternate flag was published by Beyond MOGAI Pride Flags on the 11th of July, 2018.[5] It may have been Mod Light who created it,[6] however Beyond MOGAI Pride Flags attribute it to Tumblr user Anthropomimus.[5]
An alternate flag was created by Tumblr user felix-makes-flags on the 21st of December, 2021.[7]
