Anfisian refers to an individual who is a woman and a man who is attracted to women and men.
Being a man and a woman can mean different things depending on the individual, including these examples:
- Individuals who are genderfluid, and therefore are sometimes women and sometimes men.
- Bigender or multigender individuals who are men or man aligned and women/woman aligned at the same time.
- An androgyne-aligned non-binary individual who feels connected to womanhood and manhood at the same time.
The individual may be attracted to more than the described genders (but they prioritize their attraction to women or men) or they are purely attracted to men and women. The term can be considered an umbrella term or as a unique identity.

History
Anfisian was coined by Arco-pluris on May 20, 2018 via blog beyond-mogai-pride-flags, the same user creating the flag on the same day.[1]
The color meanings of the flag are as follows: "Purple represents being both male and female. Pink represents wlw. Violet and blue represent wlm and mlw."[1]
The term is derived from the Greek word "αμφισημία" which means ambivalence,[1] the word according to other sources means ambiguous or ambiguity.[2][3]
