Transamorous is the sexual and/or romantic attraction to transgender individuals.
The term combines the Latin root Trans and the Latin suffix -amor, meaning love.[1]
History
The term’s coiner may have been Tumblr user Pipertalks on January 29th 2013.[1]
Flag
The flag appeared on Tumblr blog Beyond MOGAI Pride Flags on October 5th 2022, the meaning of the colors are unknown.[2]
It is described as “It’s similar to the bicurious flag, however with trans* flag colors using a purple lowercase tau (Greek letter, τ) in the middle.”[2]
