- Related to the emo subculture
- Based on the aesthetic of traditionally emo things, such as skinny jeans, dark clothing, band tees, etc..
- Related to the emo music genre
History
An anonymous user through the Tumblr blog beyond-MOGAI-pride-flags coined the term on or before February 19th 2019.[1]
The emocoric flag was created by Tumblr user Ostereigender on February 20, 2019.[2]
An alternate emocoric flag was created by Tumblr user craftgender on November 20, 2019.[3]
