Atomoromantic and atomosexual were coined by an unknown individual on or before June 16th, 2020, when Tumblr user plurgai made atomosexual and atomoromantic flags on behalf of an unknown user.[1]
On December 22, 2021, Tumblr user felix-makes-flags created an alternate atomoromantic flag. This flag was based on the grayromantic and uniromantic flags.[2]
