Ace Loving Ace (It can also be referred to as Ace For Ace, Ace-spec Loving Ace-Spec, Ace-Spec For Ace-Spec) refers to ace-spec individuals who are either exclusively attracted to other ace-spec individuals or emphasize or prioritize their attraction and have relationships to other ace-spec individuals. One may lose attraction once finding out that the individual receiving of the attraction is Allosexual or only start feeling attraction once they know/are aware of the other individual being ace-spec.
The emphasis on this attraction to ace-spec individuals may be due to a whole host of reasons, such as:
- Being sex-repulsed and wanting to potentially disappoint their allosexual partner.
- Being repulsed by the idea of someone being attracted to them in a sexual way (See Repulsusexual)
- Feeling safe and having a sense of comfort due to similar experiences.
- Lack of having to explain or justify oneself.
- More compatible lifestyles (For instance, both/all not liking sex and so don’t need to worry about anything involving sex)
- Quite simply liking the idea of being with folks such as themselves.
History
The term and flag were coined by Wiki User: Moocowogm on October 4, 2021
The flag was inspired by the Trans Loving Trans flag, but with the ace-spec flag colours.
An alternate flag was created by Tumblr user charlies-flag-space on November 5, 2024. The purple stripes on the top and bottom represent asexual identity, the red stripe in the center represents romantic attraction, and the stripes in the middle that blend the red with the purple represent how an individual's asexual identity can affect their romantic preferences and experiences.[1]
