Tutelary Attraction, also known as protective attraction or dominant attraction is a form of tertiary attraction that involves a individual wanting to take care, protect and support a certain folk, as opposite to cedural attraction.

Those with tutelary attraction might experience those examples listed below:

- Might feel sympathetic towards another that is in a defenseless/sad position.

- Might feel as if they are needed by that/those particular individual(s).

Overall, this type of attraction involves that gets one(s) involved in another's needs, and it may be experienced towards those who are their younger siblings, smaller animals such or your pets even, or a vulnerable folk.

A relationship between a protective and their protected one may be called guardianship, wardship or tutelage, and the protected one is often referred as ward, grace or a comate. A tutelary crush is called a mush.
