Requies- is an orientation prefix that describes an individual that experiences no or limited attraction, interest, or activity due to emotional exhaustion. This exhaustion may be caused by past endeavors, experiences, or anything emotionally draining.

Requiesromantic and requiessexual were coined by Tumblr user gay4dragons on June 8, 2014.[1] The term names come from requies, which is a Latin word meaning "rest, repose, respite, cessation" or "a place of rest".[2]
The flag was coined by Tumblr user hyaenaheart on February 7, 2022.[3]
