Caed (orientation)
Caed or caedo is an orientation on the anattractional spectrum, defined as someone who once experienced attraction (allo- sexual, romantic, platonic or sensual), but their attraction had been taken or “cut away” from them due to past trauma.[1] The Latin word caedo means to cut.[2] Caed is considered to be a subset of vague orientations, an anattractional spectrum identity influenced by one's neurodivergence.[1][3]
History
One of the first mentions of caedsexual and caedromantic derives from a queer Spanish glossary, published on the 29th of January, 2015. It was originally created for individuals with PTSD, but has since been used and recoined for individuals with any trauma experience, negative experience, or other trauma related disorders.[1][4][5]

Flags and Symbols
A caedsexual flag system was created by riptidecoric on the 26th of May, 2021, as a way to present a previous and current individual's orientation. It is characterized by a flag vertically split in half, the left half being the flag of the previous orientation and the distinct caed- black, grey, and white stripes, with the right half being the flag of the current orientation.[11]
Note: Various flags belonging to the caedsexual flag system can be found in the combination flags category.
