Anticarnal is a term under the ARCsexual umbrella which describes an individual who is sex-repulsed. Anticarnal individuals are repulsed by sexual attraction/interaction, both involving them and not involving them.

History

The term was coined by Kisten Sadi through WordPress and Tumblr on December 14, 2014.[1][2] It was first suggested a few days earlier on December 3, 2014.[3]

The anticarnal flag was created by an unknown user on an unknown date.

The alternate flag was created by PerJoTheOcCreator on July 23, 2021. The burgundy is for sex repulsion, white for sex repulsed allosexuals, black for anticarnal individuals who also fall under the asexual umbrella, and purple for community.
