Alteraffectis or nonhuman attraction is a tertiary attraction umbrella term which describes a form of attraction that human souls simply aren't supposed to feel, or can't be explained within human terms.
It was coined with alterbeings/alterhumans as well as pet regressors and otherlinkers in mind. Some examples:
- the way a guardian angel feels about the individual/individuals they're protecting
- the way a patron deity feels about the individuals they're a patron to
- the way a dog feels about their owner(s)
- the feelings a cat has towards their bonded partner(s).
History
The term was coined by Tumblr user kiruliom on October 8, 2022.[1] As of December 1, 2024, kie has given permission for kir term to be added to the wiki.[2]
The two alteraffectis flags were created by the same user as the term, on the same date.[1]
