Abri- is an orientation prefix that means ‘Shelter’ or a place of refuge in English and ‘under cover’ in French

The orientation prefix is a form of sexuality that changes. It refers to an individual whose sexuality doesn’t change but the labels they use do change.

The individual’s feelings generally feel the same and is tied up with not knowing what they feel towards certain genders.

On January 13, 2023, Tumblr user redactedterms created an alternate Abrisexual flag. The color meanings are: dark green for complex attraction and intrigue, green for m-spec aspects and vitality, yellow for unity and varioriented aspects, peach for mono-spec aspects and bravery, and pink for label fluidity, a-spec aspects, and passion.
